ABS-CBN acquired Got Talent franchise, and advertises it as “the first and only nationwide talent reality show in the Philippines. The Got talent in Philippines is dubbed as Pilipinas Got Talent.
Filipino singers, dancers, comedians, variety acts, and other performers show their talent and compete against each other for the judges’ approval and audience support. Since it is a franchise, it will be following the format of the original British Got Talent show conceived and owned by Simon Cowell’s SYCO company.
Expensive shows like these deserves the best host in the country. Well, if not the best, it is safe to say that she is one of the bests and most influential host in the Philippines today! No less than Miss Kris Aquino is tapped to host the said franchise which will be aired in ABS-CBN channel 2. his will be Kris’ nth imported and franchise show that landed her the hosting job. In the past, she hosted Deal or No Deal, Wheel of Fortune, and Pinoy Bingo Night.
The question that remains unanswered is, who will be the 3 judges to decide the contestants faith? Who do you think bests fit the seat?
Truly a real star shines in times of gloomy days! While she is busy volunteering, donating and personally reaching out for the victims of the recent typhoon Ondoy which hit the Philippines hard, Angel Locsin is nominated for Best Actress in one of the World’s most acclaimed award giving bodies! No less than The International Emmy Awards. The nominees for the 2009 International Emmy Awards was announced Monday, October 5, 2009 during a Press Conference at MIPCOM, Cannes, France.
Angel Locsin was nominated for her performance in the top-rating fantaserye Lobo (The Wolf) alongwith another kapamilya’s notable show Kahit Isang Saglit starring Jericho Rosales and Carmen Soo. Another RP entry is from GMA’s “Magdusa Ka” starring Katrina Halili, Dennis Trillo and Iwa Moto which will also vie for the best telenovela Category. Angel on the other hand will be competing against Emma De Caunes (Night Birds) of CHEZ WAM, France, Cecilia Suárez (Capadocia) of HBO Latin America Originals, Mexico and Julie Walters (A Short Stay in Switzerland) of BBC, United Kingdom.

Good news to all BOF fanatics!! Korean actor Kim Bum, one of the lead stars of hit Koreanovela “Boys Over Flowers,” on Wednesday arrived here to shoot a television commercial. ABS-CBN Corporate Communication head Bong Osorio confirmed to abs-cbnNEWS.com in a phone interview that the star arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Wednesday morning. He is is currently in the country to shoot a TV commercial for RC Cola opposite teen actress Maja Salvador.
Reports also say that he will be doing some civic works benefiting Filipino orphans and maybe the Typhoon Ondoy victims, as well.
